Do
I have to pay for home oxygen therapy?
In most cases your insurance company will pay for oxygen.
Make sure your doctor fills out the appropriate documentation
and contact your insurance company. View
the insurance companies we work with.
Will
I be responsible for paying anything?
You may have to pay a deductible or co-pay. If you need help
you can either contact your insurance company or contact American
Homecare Specialists, Inc. at 1-800-870-2607 or info@goahs.com.
Do
I have to pay for additional supplies that aren't part of
the oxygen equipment itself?
No, all supplies are included in the rental price.
How
do I know what my co-pay or deductible amount is?
We generally bill your insurance carrier and if there is any
patient financial responsibility after their payment, it will
be sent to you.
What
ongoing information do you need from me?
You are responsible for notifying us if you no longer require
the equipment or if you change your contact information, insurance
company or doctor.
Is
the oxygen equipment owned or rented by me?
In most cases oxygen equipment is rented due to the fact that
it must be continuously maintained and serviced by trained
professionals.
Will
my insurance company ever stop renting my oxygen equipment?
As long as your need for oxygen is medically necessary your
insurance company should keep renting the equipment for you.
They may require you to be re-certified by your doctor one
year from your original start date.
